This past week has been…uh…it will be too depressing if I start talking about it. One of the most talked about subjects was how Earth’s lungs (aka the Amazon rainforest) is on fire. But, again, let’s make this a ‘happy’ corner of the internet land.

This week was full of exciting beauty news. There is a new fragrance commercial (usually my favorites), product launches and a whole new brand. There are also very pretty (and expensive) handbags.
Lancôme launches video campaign for Idôle feat. Zendaya
Back in February Lancôme announced Zendaya as their new Global Ambassador. And this week the French brand released the commercial for their Idôle fragrance. The target-audience for Idôle is young, so it makes sense that they chose Zendaya to be the face of it. Also, she is one of the coolest Hollywood stars at the moment.
Millie Bobby Brown Launches Florence by Mills
Millie Bobby Brown is young (she is 15!), very famous and successful career-wise. And she plans to be even more successful. Millie just launched her own beauty line, called Florence by Mills, which is focused on Gen-Z, more specifically on teens. All products from the brand, which is PETA certified, are vegan and cruelty-free.
According to Millie, the brand is supposed to be about bravery, individuality and being truthful. Oh, and if you’re wondering about the name, it was inspired by her great-grandmother Florence.
Zoë Kravitz Created a Lipstick Capsule Collection with YSL Beauté
Zoë Kravitz created a lipstick capsule collection with YSL Beauté called “Rouge Pur Couture”. The collection includes six new lipstick shades (3 nudes and 3 reds, each in a different finish) that were inspired (and named) after important people in her life.
The nude shades are called No121 Arlene (her grandma), No123 Maris (her godmother) and No125 Honey (also her godmother). And the name of the red shades are No122 Wolf (her brother, who is also a fan of red), No124 Scout (her dog) and No126 Lale (her mom).
The beautiful packaging also has a story of its own. It was partially inspired by the Niki bag from Saint Laurent, Zoë’s favorite handbag from the brand, and the Opium fragrance bottle.
Fenty Beauty Launched their First Brow Product and new Match Stix Shimmer Skin Sticks colors
Is no wonder Rihanna is not giving us new music, she has been too busy creating even more beauty products. This week Fenty announced their first ever brow product, the Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil and Styler. The pencil’s formula is supposed to be long wear, waterproof and smudge resistant.
And, because one product wasn’t enough, they also launched five new shades of the Match Stix Shimmer Skinsticks, a hybrid between blush and highlighter. The new colors are called Pink Lemonade, Heist, Beach Bum and Cognac.
Serpenti Through the Eyes of Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang is the latest designer to be part of Bvlgari’s “Serpenti Through the Eyes Of” capsule collection series. Alexander reimagined the Serpenti Forever bag, giving it two serpenti (or snake) heads as locks.
It is expensive? Yes! It is pretty? Yes!
